My phone is stuck and I am having a hard time syncying my samsung galaxy s4 with google

It is a samsung galaxy s4 that I would like to sync my contacts with google. I really need to do a factory restore but this is stopping me

Hello. Welcome to Android Central.

Is there a red sync error showing in Accounts - Google. Turn Master Sync off and on and check one sync item at a time, it usually clears.

Otherwise I am not sure what you mean by stuck. Is the screen frozen. If so remove the battery.
