Good day, I recently purchased a Nexus 6, and there is an app with the name 'LifetimeData' listed when I view all apps. It is not an app I installed, and might be necessary for the phone to function. It is 44.00KB in size.

Is this app native to Android Lollipop 5? It has full phone permissions, so I am just concerned. My provider is ATT if this information is useful.

When I view app info, I can only force it to stop. There is no uninstall function.

    Thanks,
    Eric

Welcome to Android Central! Is it an AT&T-branded Nexus 6, or one you bought through Google Play?

Thanks for the quick reply. It is an ATT branded Nexus 6 which I purchased from ATT store in November 2014.

I'd guess it's a preinstalled app from AT&T, but can't be sure. Hopefully someone else with an AT&T N6 can comment.

I have this on my Nexus 6 purchased from Motorola unlocked.

I found a reference to all the carrier stuff that was added in 5.1. It appears that this is for Sprint. There is other stuff that is specific to Verizon.
