How do I clean the back of my Note 4?

I think it's the same faux leather back as the Note 3, and I've tried everything but it doesn't go back to its original phone colour. Any ideas?

That depends on what's causing the problem. If you smoke and it's tobacco tar, alcohol. If it's normal dust and dirt, a general purpose glass and plastic cleaner (even vinegar and water). Just make sure the back is nowhere near the phone when you're cleaning it and that it's completely dry before putting it back on the phone. Since it's just plastic, you could even use warm water and liquid dish detergent on it.
