Padlock swipe and pin no excessive!

[AC Question]

On my new Moto G 2014 you have to swipe the padlock and enter a pin no which is just long! Anyone know if there is a way to change this setting?

Are you saying that it requires you to set a PIN lock? That is normally optional, and I should have thought would be on that device as well.
