How do I leave the emails on the server on my Note 4?

I have a Note 4 with Lollipop. I have my yahoo email setup to go to my phone, but if it's on my phone and I try to look at it on my laptop, it's not there. So, how do I leave the emails on the server until they are deleted? I have looked thru my settings and can't find anything. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Android Central! It sounds like you're using the POP3 server settings--that's an older protocol, which does things like that. I would remove the Yahoo email account from the Email app, then add it back, but this time use the IMAP settings: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mobile/imap settings-yahoo-mail-sln4075.html. If the Email app is automatically adding it as a POP3 account, then you should manually edit the server settings to change them to IMAP.
