HTC One M8 Notification Bar Color Mismatch

So as you may or may not know, the HTC One M8 has an aesthetic feature with the notification bar which is that it will match the color of the app you are on. For example, if you're in Youtube, it will turn red to match the app. Or if you're in Instagram it'll turn blue. My problem is, a few weeks ago, it stopped doing this. The only times it matches is at the home screen and the HTC default apps such as FM Radio, File Manager, Contacts, etc. How do I fix this? The phone looked so much cleaner when that feature was still working.
