How can I solve a transfer issue? (Samsung S3)

Hello. My friend has a Samsung S3 and she had to transfer 300 pictures from the phone to PC. She plugged her phone via USB cable to the PC and used cut+paste on her drive. Problem is, a lot of those pictures transfered (not all) can't be opened and if you check at properties, it says that each one of them has 913 mb, which is impossible. Is there a solution to this issue?

Welcome to Android Central! Was she using Windows Explorer? When you say cut and paste, do you mean she used the drag and drop method? And if so, did she use the Copy or the Move function. Hopefully she used the Copy function, because Move deletes the original files from the source after the files are transferred, so if the files got corrupted somehow, then it may be hard to recover the photos.

Were the photos on Internal Storage or a microSD card?
