Phone suddenly slow on home wifi

Phone suddenly painfully slow...Took phone to Verizon got a new Sim card, along with extra memory and put pics and video on it. Also downloaded a cache cleaner. They baseline my phone as well.
wondering if all this is because lollipop framework is too fast for my galaxy note 3?
Next step I guess is to call cable company, but laptop is still fast. Not sure why home router would treat phone connections differently?

Welcome to Android Central! It can happen where one device has problems connecting, while others don't. Try rebooting the router by unplugging its power for 10 seconds, then plugging back in again. You could also log into the router's settings via the computer browser and make sure the QoS (Quality of Service) feature is turned off (this feature prioritizes certain connections over others).

Does the phone work fine on other wi-fi networks, like at your local Starbucks?
