how do I delete downloads on my Android Moto phone

my phone indicates it is running out of memory and yet I cannot seem to get rid of these downloads. Moto E

Welcome to the forums. Have you tried a long press on a file to bring up your delete options? Once one is selected you should just be able to tap others to add to the list. If that doesn't work, you can try a different file manager. I like ESFile Explorer, available on Play. If that doesn't work, i would connect to your PC and use that to delete your files.
