How do I stop theses annoying whatsapp pop up on my galaxy s6?

In general setting while fondling with the fone I found out how to fix the problem

Setting > sounds and notifications > notifications on lock screen > click do not show notifications or u can go on (in the same settings) and click app notifications and deactivate all the apps that u do not want notifications popping up. I did both at the same time and it worked so I'm not sure which one but it definitely works. no more pop ups.
