Question re trying out AT&T's network

I'm currently a T-Mobile customer and am curious to try out AT&T's network. I own a Moto X 2014 and would like to just pop in a SIM card and try out the network for a few days. What would be the best way to do this? I'm hoping to make this as painless and easy as possible. Could I just walk into a store and purchase a prepaid data SIM? Or is there another way to do this easily?

Is your Moto X unlocked? The first thing you'll need to do is get an unlock code from T-Mobile before you can even use another carrier's SIM.

Yes. I am using a Pure Edition Moto X, which is unlocked.
