How can I have a permanent microphone on the keyboard for messages and e-mails

I can't get a microphone to stay on the keyboard. I don't want to push/hold the settings next to the spacebar. I just want the microphone to stay there so I can speak to test or e-mail

Which phone do you have? Open your keyboard settings and make sure that voice is enabled in the input methods.
