Is there any way to bypass the screen lock on my Galaxy Note 4?

I think my kids must have unregistered my fingerprint on my phone because it no longer gives me that option to unlock. I do not know my backup password. Many forums said that it is your gmail password but that does not work. I have tried several times to change it through the Android Device Manager but that has not worked. I have tried every other trick I can find on the internet. I have called Samsung and my wireless carrier and was told I need to hard reset the phone. But I desperately do not want to lose all my pictures. Are there any other options?

If you cannot recall your backup password, which you must have set at some time in the past, I believe that there is alas no further option. However, photos saved to your Google account will not be lost.
