Samsung Galaxy S3 Dropped,is the memory damaged?

Hello,so my mom dropped her Samsung Galaxy s3 today and said that it was lying on its screen on the floor and after she picked it up the screen was completely black.Then she pressed the home button and there were pink and green lines on the screen but nothing else.The phone does receieve texts and calls however we can't do anything since the screen is black.The more important problem is,when I connect the phone to my computer,it says that there is no photos or videos although there was.Could the memory card be damaged?Is there anything I can do to save the photos and videos?
