Why do I have 8GB of misc files on my S5?

It's taking up a majority of my storage. It's so bad that I can't even install app updates. What can I do? I looked up which ones I could delete but I couldn't really find much. Please help

Much of it may be the OS. If so, that will top the list, perhaps as 'System'. You don't want to delete that.
