Why wont my Samsung S3 mini screen turn on?

[AC Question]

I have had my s3 mini since February 2014. It has numerous cracks on the screen and around the phone but it still has worked well. All until today when my friend to my phone and gently hit it with his because it was frozen(its always freezing). It just shut off after that and the screen wouldn't turn on. Only the back arrow and the home button would turn on but not the screen. Ive tried taking out the battery and sim card i don't know what else to do.

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, it may have been the last straw for the screen, and perhaps for something else in the internal circuitry. Take it to a repair shop, or look for a new phone.
