Can not unlock galaxy s6 edge

Please help.

My fingerprint did not work and I forgot my backup password. this has happened before but I usually log in quickly with my google account except today. it keeps saying that the username or password is wrong but the same username and password helps to unlock my other devices. I even changed my google account password and the new password is working on my other devices but still not on my s6 edge.

please help me as I fail to understand how this can happen. maybe google can get me a once off password so that I can get into the phone and switch of the fingerprint nonsense!

Try Android Device Manager on your computer - as long as you are logged into your google account, it should see the device. Then you can lock it and create a new password to unlock it.
