Home Screen only scrolls down, doesn't swipe left anymore...

Is that a new feature? Can I change it back? I have a Nexus 5 and this just started happening yesterday. Please advise.

That change came with the latest Google app update. You can disable the app suggestions in the app settings. If you want to get back to the page flipping your best choice could be using a custom launcher.

Sheesh seriously? I already disabled the app suggestions and am not really interested in a custom launcher. I just wish the updates would allow for us to choose instead of just reformatting something that has to do with muscle memory. Ever since the update I automatically start to swipe left (like I have for the past FOUR YEARS) and I open up something that just happens to be in the scroll down window. This is very #firstworldproblems but I don't understand why programmers don't take it into account when designing new constructs. Thanks for your prompt reply. I appreciate it!!
