My phone connects to data automaticaly.

My phone just started hooking to either wi-fi or data by itself. I turn if off and in a minute it rehooks. I removed the SD card and did a factory reset and have not downloaded any apps and it still connects. I have a pay as you go plan so I get a message after I disconnect it every time, "your last transaction cost $xxx". Is this fixable or do trash the phone? Unlocked Lenovo with android 4.4.2
