Did you have a SD card in the device?
If yes, just take it out and see if your pictures are on there.
Was auto upload / backup of photos enabled, so, that you can find them on Google, OneDrive or similar websites?
If yes, just check if the phone uploaded the pictures before it got damaged.
Does the phone still turn on?
Connect it to a computer and copy your pictures over.
None of the above?
If the pictures are that important, find a local repair shop and get the screen replaced. Make sure that they do not perform a hard reset on your device.
