HELP: Why does my phone keep saying SIM card removed?

A while back my Samsung Galaxy S5 Active got a bit too active and leaked a bit of water. I put it in rice for a whole week and everything turned out ok. However, recently I noticed I had been getting short on storage, so I bought a Micro SD Card. When I put it in, my phone turned back on like normal and everything was working fine. But, after like 10 or 15 minutes (I've tried timing it but 10-15 minutes seems to be the average) with the SD Card in, a message keeps popping up saying that I must restart my phone because the SIM Card was removed. I haven't tried cleaning the ports with anything other than just blowing on them either. Anyone else have this problem or anyone have any ideas as to how to fix it? Thanks
