How do a remove just one phone number on a saved contact on my samsung glaxy 4?

I cannot edit or remove phone numbers on my contacts if there is more than one number. Also I cannot change the home addresses of contacts.

Welcome to Android Central! Open Contacts, tap the contact you want to edit, then tap the Edit button (which probably looks like a pencil icon). Now go to that phone number field and delete it. There's probably an X by the field that should delete the whole field. Then Save the contact.
