I've tried the 30 second hold but it still doesn't reboot, what else can i do ? i miss my nexus 7

Welcome to Android Central! 2012 or 2013 Nexus 7? Can you tell if it's in a powered on or off state (e.g., does it make any sounds)?

You could try a different charging cable/plug, in case your current cable is faulty and the battery drained. But it's more likely that the battery completely failed, or possibly the motherboard.
