Old Sim, need my stuff!!

I just broke my note 3 and was able to get a replacement (not from insurance) until I get paid to pay the deductible. However, the phone I have now isn't compatible with the SIM from the note 3. Is there any way, other than placing the sim into another phone to get the data from that sim?

Bring the card and the phone you're using to your carrier and ask if they can read the SIM and copy the information to the phone. (If you have contacts on your SIM you shouldn't - contacts should all be Google contacts. Putting contacts on the SIM is a holdover from the days that the SIM was the only storage on a phone.)
