Can rooting any android phone make it dead or nonuseable ?

AC Question

I have got my LG G2 d801 (t mobile) a month ago (running on android 5.0.2 lollipop). I have become eager to root my device after seeing advantages and tons of customization done by the student. So i had gone through many articles about this issue but none of them seemed to make me satisfy. So should i root my device? And if i messed up rooting, can i get it back after flashing stock rom?

Just rooting your phone won't brick it, however, you can brick your phone after rooting by wiping your phone in custom recovery (twrp or cwm) or flashing the wrong rom or mod. You can easily restore the phone if you make a backup in custom recovery.
