Is a glass screen protector necessary if I have a Speck Grip case for my Galaxy S6?

A

AC Question

Hi there,

I'm getting a Speck Candyshell Grip case for my new Galaxy S6 that has a raised bezel. I'm wondering if a tempered glass screen protector would be overkill, or if it will give my screen that much more added protection?

I tend to drop my phone regularly, but my Galaxy S4 Mini survived many drops over 2 years with no cracks/scratches in a Speck Candyshell Grip case and a regular military-grade film screen protector.

More info on the Speck Candyshell Grip case:
--Military-grade drop protection. Certified to meet or exceed MIL-STD-810G drop test standards.
--Raised bezel protects screen from impact and adds grip
--Dual-layer design. Patented hard and soft layers provide uncompromising protection

You can never have to much protection on your phone. I'm using military drop case on my phone even though it has a metallic frame. Then I do have temper glass on the gorilla class 4 screen

I'm taking no chances
