Google Connected Apps - Performance hit

A

AC Question

I have huge performance issues on my Galaxy S5 , its laggy and unresponsive and pretty close to being flung against a wall. Or at least that was the case until yesterday when i stumbled on the Google Settings -> Connected apps screen.

In this screen i saw a large number of no longer installed apps connected to my google account (i often install , play, then uninstall games).

As part of a housekeeping exercise i started disconnecting apps i dont use anymore and as I did it my phone got smoother and smoother to the point where now its pretty quick again and i no longer hate it.

Does anyone understand why this would be the case ?

It's good you seem to have found the cause of the issue. I guess it's because all those connected apps were constantly being updated adding to the drain on your device.

It's also a good reminder for other people to do the same thing.
