When adding contacts the camera comes on instead.

tried to add a contact on my wifes s5 galaxy phone. hit the plus sign to add contact but the camera comes on instead.

Have you tried restarting the phone? Also, if it's some app causing the problem, you can restart the phone in Safe Mode so that only the OS and associated apps will run.
