Why is this ChromeCast notification icon in the notification tray?

After searching extensively for the icon the suddenly popped up in my notification tray, I knew it was ChromeCast. I don't have the app installed in my phone and I don't even have anything to connect it too. I'm wondering why is it showing up. when I drag down the notifications area, it doesn't show anything there. I also tried resetting my phone.

Do you have a bluetooth device connected? Sometimes it shows the symbol when one is connected as well.

Nope, my Bluetooth wasn't even turned on. I managed to remove the icon by turning on Ultra Power Saving mode but the icon appeared again the next day. I'm using Samsung Galaxy S6 edge of that helps.

I just had this happen to me as well and it started after they change the name to home. It shows nothing being cast, it say disconnected and pressing the x Norton does nothing to remove it. Very annoying.

Did you have an answer for this yet? I am currently having the same issue. I'm bothered that someone is accesing my phone. I noticed that this started appearing when I installed the anti-virus app from Google play store.
