Is there a way to play a Windows-based game DVD on a Chromebook?

I can successfully play a DVD movie on my Toshiba Chromebook using an LG external DVD player, but when my son tries to play a game ("Age of Empires"), which is Windows-based, he gets an error message that it only runs on Windows PC-based desktops. Is there any way around this?

Unfortunately no. The game is a Windows .exe file, which will only run on Windows.
