May 2016 patches Corrupted my Nexus 9

A

AC Question

I got the push notification for the new may patches and ran the install like i normally would. I've never had a problem with doing this until today when the install sent my nexus 9 into a boot loop. Upon boot up, it pushes my nexus over to recovery mode, but won't let me toggle the recovery menu, where it'll sit for a few minutes, then reboots to start the cycle again. This happened more than a few times before I finally got another screen.

This one gave me a red warning and told me my device was corrupted and couldn't be trusted to work properly, then listed a link: g.co/ABH

I followed the link and it says I need to restore it to factory settings? What's up with this?

I just ran May patches and ended up in same state - boot loop, sleeping droid with red triangle, No Command, corrupted device, instructions to flash.

Google... really? This is totally unacceptable!

Surely there is some alternative to completely wiping my tablet and starting over?
