GS3 charges from laptop, does not from a normal charger with same USB

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3, it's fairly old and by now this is the 3rd battery it has had (not original) it came with a British charger (the one with 3 things) and an adapter (one with 2 things xd) and an USB which you can unplug from the charger and plug in a laptop. I have never been so frustrated with a phone I swear. I plug it in from the charger, does not charge. Plug it in the laptop with the USB, charges just fine. I tried the thing where you remove the battery wait 10 seconds put in the USB and then the battery, nope, nothing. Tried with different batteries, nope, different USB's, nope, different chargers, nothing... But USB in laptop? Oh well that works! Because that has SO MUCH LOGIC! Oh the problem in that? My laptop shuts down 6 hours in it's sleep and my battery needs about 12 hours so it can fully charge.. Please help me, I am so frustrated.
