How to type Spanish Accents on Google soft keyboard?

I am learning Spanish and need a way to type Spanish accents for exam papers and so forth. That is very easy to do in Windows where I just have to hold the caps lock key and the appropriate key. For example hold down the caps lock key plus the "n" key produces "ñ". (I haven't been able to get that caps lock app to work in Android).

Any help would be appreciated.

It may depend on the type of phone, but just holding on the specific letter should work. For example hold your finger on "n" until a menu pop's up, where you'll be able to pick "ñ".
