How do I connect my bluetooth to my U8 smart watch?

I have paired my U8 smartwatch to my Android phone and bluetooth. But I am only able to connect to one or the other. If I select my phone from my smartwatch then my bluetooth disconnects.

How do I connect my bluetooth to my watch, without disconnecting my from the watch?

It sounds like what is happening is the watch is connecting as an audio device. The phone will only allow one audio device to connect at a time so it takes whichever connects first. Based on the product page I saw, it looks like it requires its own app rather than using the Android Wear app. Android Wear uses Bluetooth Low Energy (as on my Huawei Watch), so unless I connect my watch as an audio device, I can have that and a headset connected.
