Why is my phone sending group messages?

[AC Question]

My mother's phone has gotten a weird habit of sending some texts and pics in a group message. She'll text me or send a pic but every once in awhile, it'll send it in a group message to my siblings and I. Even after she's deleted the convo, it'll start a new one. It's a LG G3 through AT&T. Any advice?
