    Hello,

I have a question about uploading music with the Google Play Music service (play.google.com/music).

When I am uploading mp3’s through the web browser and adding them to my library, does the volume control setting on the play.google.com/music site have any effect on the files? If I upload while the volume control is set to a lower volume, does it change the mp3 file to a lower volume as well?

For example, if I upload an mp3 file while the volume control is set to half volume, does it modify the file so that it plays at half volume? Does it modify the file’s volume in any way?

    Thank you!

No. The volume of the files themselves are not modified. The volume would be controlled by the device through which you are streaming your Google Play Music
    service.
