I can't hard reset a Zeepad 7.0

[AC Question]

I got this Zeepad from a friend. He of course forgot the password to it. So I told him I would look at it. I tried the hold the power and volume up then press and hold the volume up key nothing. I've tried various different ways. All I'm getting is the android guy on his back with his chest open with a red triangle and an exclamation point in the middle. I'm just looking for some more in depth advice.
