Blue Tooth connectivity. Other devices recognize the S6 but the S6 does not seem to recognize them

AC Question

It is hit and miss with my blue tooth connectivity to other blue tooth enabled devices. In every instance the other device (the non-S6) recognizes the phone. However, the S6 fails to recognize the other device. I have noticed that in rare instances if I turn off the Blue Tooth on the S6 and turn it back on, the S6 will recognize the other device(s) but only for a limited time (3 to 5 minutes). However the other device continues to recognize the S6. Is there a setting that I need to adjust?

What [profile are you expecting the S6 to find in the other devices (audio, file transfer, etc.)? Not all Bluetooth devices recognize each other. (It's still an iffy standard, so not even all devices that should recognize each other do - like not all car radios will see the contacts in the phone.)
