Why is the music volume lowered when I sign in to additional apps?

For example, I use Apple, Spotify a lot to stream music but if I happen to switch to another app the volume is automatically adjusted down. My phone is a Galaxy note 7. If I switch from Spotify or Apple to say the play store or internet the volume is unchanged. Can someone direct me how to fix or adjust the issue?

Are the apps that you are switching to (when the volume drops) ones with audio?

I'm not 100% sure I understand the issue here. Your title and your message are contradictory. The volume of your music goes down and stays down when your change apps? Are you sure you are not accidentally hitting the volume rocker? Have you tried rebooting your device and seeing if that fixes the problem? Also it's normal for your device to mute of pause the sound of music when a notification comes in, you don't mean that? right?
