Samsung Galaxy Tab3 won't hold charge... Why?

A

AC Question

It takes about 6 hours to fully charge my tablet and it dies in less than half that amount of time. I turn the brightness all the way down, close all other apps that i'm not using at the moment and turn off anything that drains excess battery life. I have the original USB cord that it came with but not the adapter. I'm not sure what else to do so i'm in need of advice.

It could be you need to get the battery replaced... the tablet's 3 years old.

Have you tried another USB cable? Is the charging adapter you're using spec'd for the tablet's requirements?

I was having the same problem. Decided to research YouTube for factory reset "How to Hard Reset the Galaxy Tab 3"
It worked for me; my tablet now holds a charge and I can use it as usual. Ever being able to watch Netflix movies without recharging. I don't know if it will work for you but it work for me good luck.
