Image downloads replacing old ones.

When I download an image, it often replaces one or usually more saved images. This happens even when I elect to create a new file. I use chrome on my moto x pure edition when I download images. Saved downloaded images appear to be almost randomly replaced by new images. However, the longer an image has been stored on my phone, the less likely it seems to be replaced.
