If I uninstall and reinstall apps will they become able to be moved to sd card?

Phone is galaxy j5 and after only 3 months phone memory is full. Settings/ apps/ move to SD card has only become live for a tiny minority of the apps I've put on.
The apps were downloaded before I had the SD card. If I uninstall and reinstall will it become possible to save apps to SD card?
Any help appreciated.

Some apps can be moved, some can't. In any case, only some of the app goes to the sd card, the biggest part stays in device memory. Check to see what is taking up the memory, pictures ? Music? Videos?
