Settings crashes after trying to open Application Manager

A

AC Question

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy J1, bought it around April this year and was very happy with it. Recently however, when i try to open Application Manager in settings, i get the "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped." Error.

I have tried the following:
Uninstalling recent apps
Rolling back updates
Performing 2 factory resets (one with the sd card in and one without).

I can't think of anything else to do. Thoughts?
If it's unfixable is this sort of thing covered by warranty?

If a factory reset doesn't fix it, then it's probably the OS... possibly corrupted. Has the phone ever died on you due to low battery power?

If you live in the US and are close to a Bestbuy store, they might be able to reflash the OS for you. Your carrier may also be able to do it. If neither option is available, then you might need to send it to Samsung. It might be covered under warranty, but not sure... best to contact Samsung directly about that.
