How bad is the S7 audio with headphones?

I have used apple all my life and am currently using an iPhone 5s with apple earpods most of the time. I am going to make the switch to the S7 but everyone keeps saying that the audio on the S7 is bad.

I'm not an audiophile by any means but I do listen to a lot of music with headphones. My 5S with earpods provide adequate sound quality for me. So is the S7 going to be worse than this, better, the same?

Are there decent headphones I could buy to attain similar quality? Any help would be great, thanks!

If you use the Apple earbuds (they're pretty decent), the audio should be about the same. If you use $2 earbuds it's going to be pretty bad. If you use Sennheiser earbuds it'll be about as good as you can hear. You're asking how the brand of windshield washer fluid affects the top speed of the car. The audio amplifier in most phones is pretty good - the speakers in some of them are worse than terrible - but if you're using earbuds, you're not using the speakers.
