I hit "ok" on a malware ad

[AC Question]

I know, i'm stupid. I was freaking out because I was using headphones and it kept making this beeping noise at me and now I've hit ok several times. I've heard that now they have my information and everything ( I looked this up but I wantwanted more info), so what do I do from here to protect myself?

(The app was iFunny, and it was some pop up from hashenoy or something like that)

How do you know it was malware? Maybe it was just an ad.

Welcome to Android Central! My first suggestion to you is not to panic. What exactly did the message or website say that you clicked on? As the user above stated, it might have merely been an ad of some kind. Ads will oftentimes pop up on your phone and make noise, so maybe that was all it was. Keep us updated.
