I need help getting my phone to turn off. It is stuck on a screen.

My Nextbit screen has a cloud like symbol on it and the word "nextbit" underneath- the background is blue. It has been stuck like this for hours. It came out of nowhere. I woke up to this. It will not let me even turn off the phone. Has anyone dealt with this before?

Welcome to Android Central! On most Android devices, you can force a shutdown by pressing and holding Power for about 10-15 seconds. On Samsung devices, it's Power and Vol Down held together for 10-15 seconds. Give that a try.

This should work, I've never seen a phone not power down by doing the above mentioned.
