how do i block spam on chrome browser

Welcome to Android Central! The best thing to do is to avoid those sites, since certain sites are more likely to be infested with annoying ads like that.

Otherwise, you could try some of the various ad-blocking browsers that are available on Google Play, or an ad-blocking extension for the Firefox browser.

I'm also trying to avoid suspicious sites, but occasionally, visiting some popular sites (the real links to the sites, not fake ones) randomly takes me to adware/spam sites (sometimes ending with xyz). I wonder why this is happening?
