My Shield is triggering my projector on and off and I don't want it to do that.

Nvidia Shield has the latest update installed. When I turn it on with the game controller accessory, it triggers on my JVC projector and drops my Stewart Filmscreen trap door screen down. When putting the Shield into Sleep Now, it powers off my projector and raises my screen. Simply put, I do not want it to do that.
I should be able to go to the Shield - Settings>Device>HDMI>HDMI-CEC to turn the TV ON and TV OFF radio buttons to off, however, I can't get to that level of sub-menu. Can you please advise.
