Since nougat update my ims service backup and sync is on all the time

I can't get it to stop. It is always showing it is syncing. I force closed it, turned off sync (I think) but every time I restart my phone it comes back on and won't go off again until I force close. Please help

Hi, what device do you have? sorry but what is ims service? have you disabled it through settings > accounts? also, how often do you restart your device?

Same problem on my daughters Samsung s8. Whenever she reboots it pops up and she has to force close it to get it to go away. My s8+ does not do it. Both on AT&T
