Why won't my LG G Stylo won't let me have swipe instead of a password?

When I went to change my password it said,"Disabled by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage" It's also gray and won't let me tap it. I'm not that good with electronics, so please help!

Welcome to Android Central! Did you encrypt the phone? If it's encrypted, you're required to use a password or PIN. Or did you add a company email account to the phone? Many company accounts require the phone to have certain security credentials which prevent you from using just swipe to unlock.
